Group Acupuncture

3:00 PM15:00

Group Acupuncture

BOTH SESSIONS are SOLD OUT!

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body. These points are located along energy pathways known as meridians. There is a vital life force or energy called "Qi" (pronounced "chee") that flows through these meridians. When the flow of Qi is disrupted or imbalanced, it can lead to various physical or emotional health issues.

The primary goals of acupuncture are to restore the balance of Qi and promote the body's natural healing processes. Acupuncture points are selected based on the individual's symptoms and diagnosis by a trained acupuncturist. The insertion of needles at these points is thought to stimulate the body's natural ability to heal, reduce pain, and alleviate various conditions.

Acupuncture is used to address a wide range of health issues, including pain management (such as back pain, migraines, and arthritis), stress and anxiety reduction, digestive problems, and support for conditions like infertility and allergies. It is often used in conjunction with other forms of traditional Chinese medicine, such as herbal remedies and dietary changes.

During an acupuncture session, the acupuncturist will use fine, hair-thin needles to gently penetrate the skin at specific points. The needles are typically left in place for 15-30 minutes, and the individual may experience sensations like tingling, warmth, or a mild ache during the treatment.

This event is a group style of setting in which you can choose to be seated or laying down.

Sound Bath

Curious how sound can help you heal? Science backs it: sound therapy can reduce inflammation, support your immune system, calm the nervous system, and improve sleep. The vibrations released during sound therapy can stimulate production of white blood cells to fight off infections and disease. Through vibrations, rhythm, and different frequencies, sound therapy also induces relaxation and reduces stress hormones. Who doesn’t want to feel a little lighter? A little more ready to take on the day? Sound therapy is a gentle but powerful way to reconnect with your body and prioritize self-love.

Join us for a free sound bath on May 31st and explore the benefits firsthand. Donations support Southern Minnesota Pride and the LGBTQ+ community.

Come learn, relax, and give back.

South Central Minnesota Pride (SCMN Pride) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting visibility, inclusion, and pride for the LGBTQIA+ community in south central Minnesota. Entirely volunteer-run and donation-funded, SCMN Pride organizes events like the annual Pride Festival in Mankato, monthly social gatherings, youth activities, and educational outreach to foster a supportive and vibrant community. Their mission is especially vital in rural areas, where LGBTQIA+ individuals may feel isolated; SCMN Pride ensures they know they are not alone and are celebrated.

The Portal: Cacao Ceremony, Transcendental Breathwork & Sound Journey Meditation

Begin the New Year by going beyond the limits of the self and reality through a ceremonial experience designed to help you realize the infinite nature of who you are and your ability to thrive and heal.

It is the nature of our human mind that holds us back from our unlimited potential, and when we enter the Portal we access an unlimited realm of intuition, inner guidance, creativity and personal transformation.

This is the space all great inventors, visionaries, sages and wisdom traditions have been able to access. We all have this gift within us and we provide the tools and awareness for accessing this hidden potential.

We will combine the heart-opening powers of cacao with the transcendental powers of breathwork and sound. Together, these practices will give us the opportunity for a deep inward journey and peak state experience.

This experience can activate and clear the chakras, release trauma, reset the nervous system, connect us with higher consciousness, and help us achieve self-actualization.

No prior experience is necessary.

You will be lying down for the meditation so please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow.

*Not suitable for those who are pregnant or experience epilepsy, heart problems, or severe medical conditions. Also, individuals on SSRI prescription medications, those sensitive to caffeine, and individuals with chocolate allergies should consult a healthcare professional before consuming cacao.

**Space is limited, and these events fill up. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy.

More about Cacao:
Cacao is known throughout South America as the "Elixir of the Gods." It is a powerful medical plant for opening the Heart Chakra and expanding our awareness/consciousness. It can aid in personal transformation, awakening, removing negative patterns, or feeling a deeper connection with higher self and source consciousness.
Cacao in its raw and natural state contains over 300 compounds, including the chemicals anandamide, phenylethylamine, and theobromine, known for euphoric-blissful states. The cacao we will use in this ceremony is pure, ceremonial grade.

Learn how to use and utilize cupping and Gua Sha in your therapeutic sessions.

Gua Sha is a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that has been passed down through generations for over 3,000years. This modality is known throughout Asia and China, and has gained popularity in western culture. Through the use of round edge tools to create subcutaneous friction, It is practiced to aid in relieving muscular tension, restore proper circulation to the body, and help with  general detoxification.

Cupping therapy utilizes the inverse of pressure through the application of suction cups on to the body. This modality helps to free tight fascia, breakdown adhesion, increase circulation, and move stagnant chi. The cups can be placed on statically or dynamically.
