Lymphatic Massage
A lymphatic massage targets the body's lymph system. This is a very light, staccato style stroke massage. Starting at the feet we pump the body's fluids up towards the heart in order to flush the lymph system which mirrors the circulatory system in complexity but lacks a pump of its own (pump for circulatory system is the heart).
The lymphatic system is a network of channels and nodes in which a fluid substance called lymph is carried through the body. The lymph returns vital substances to the blood stream from the tissues of the body, it assists balance of fluids by draining fluid from the tissues, helps in defence against illness producing substances, and the absorption of fats from the digestive system.
By manual stimulation we can move lymph through the one way channels up to the site where it connects back with the blood stream thus pushing out what may be in the lymph back into the blood stream where the body can then filter it out.

Lymphatic massage can benefit you if you are recovering from injury or surgery, have recurrent swelling, recurrent mild illness (such as colds) or are simply feeling like you "have something in your system" that needs moving through.

Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy is a very unique moment in our lives. With all the joys that come with it, it can still be taxing on the body.
Our Prenatal massage is extra special because we use a lie-flat pillow system that allows your belly to be suspended and off the table while you are face down, This enables us to give a "regular" massage while baby gets a chance to move about and reposition. Extra care is taken on the low back and hip areas (subject to separate waiver) and our tables adjust so that you are not flat on your back. You can use this pillow system all the way up to day of delivery as long as it is comfortable for you!
We do also offer to perform the massage side-lying if you find the pillow uncomfortable.

Hot Stone Massage
In a Hot Stone session, we perform a customized massage using warmed basalt stones exclusively. The stones are used to heat the tissues aiding in release as well working deeply to get down into the knots and tightness below the first layer of muscle. This massage is great for everyone but extra special for those that love heat. The stones are soft and buttery, leaving your tissues feeling pampered and relaxed.
